The passing of a great man, wonderful friend, and committed Christian. Heaven rejoices in his arrival. We will truly miss him.

There are few men I would call a mentor in my life, Bill Gahlberg is definitely one of them. He took a chance on hiring a young kid to operate the Drake Oakbrook Hotel for him and his partners in the mid 1980s. He taught me so much and I am forever grateful for his guidance and leadership. I'm a better person and business manager today due to our relationship then. Not to mention he introduced (pushed) me to the game of golf, which I still struggle with today. Regretfully, I'm unable to attend the service, but I extend my deepest and heartfelt sympathies to his family. A good man has been lost but never will I forget him and the impact he had on my life.
