In my youth I was very fortunate to have known my Great Grandma and Grandpa from my mother's side of the family. I have several memories of visiting their home in the city; many were of watching my Great Grandma strain tomatoes for her highly anticipated gravy we would enjoy later at dinner while my Great Grandpa sat in his lazy boy fanning himself due to the Chicago humidity. It was a privilege and an honor to have known my Great Grandparents and to have everlasting memories of the time I spent with them and my family.
Fast forward and I'm a 34 year old man with a lovely wife and two beautiful girls Brooke and Colette. Although my daughters are young and their memory of Grandma Irene will be fogged by their age, we still have made wonderful memories with her and will be able to look back at all the pictures we've taken to remind us how special having a Great Grandparent is. One day my daughters will look back at those pictures and I'll be able to tell them stories about their Great Grandma Irene; what she's lived through, what she's seen, her wisdom, her resilience, her strength, and how delicate and gentile she was when holding one of them. We love you Grandma…..your memories live on through your children, your grandchildren and your great grandchildren. Say hi to Grandpa for us!!

She was a Stay-at-Home Mom,
wiping noses, doing laundry, making cookies and doing a thousand and one other chores, that turn a house into a home,
She was a stay-at-home mom,
seldom the center of attention...
she was too busy teaching values, setting a good example, encouraging, inspiring, sacrificing and dispensing love
whenever and wherever it was needed.
She was a stay-at-home mom,
taking care of her Toots, her children, her family!
She was a stay-at-home mom ,,,and we owe her ....everything!!
We love you mom !
