My Aunt Joan was a joy to be around and always will have a special place in my heart. In the difficult days after my Dad's death (her brother Jerry), she had taken the time to have her lawyer boss advise us on the legalities of the trust for my moms finances. She really knew how to make things simple for us since she was a good communicator. I was I glad to be able to visit her in the last 6 months a couple of times. Her personality was always so upbeat regardless of circumstances. She will be missed but never forgotten.

Joan was such a wonderful aunt. I always thought of her as the "cool" aunt because of the way she dressed and how she seemed to understand the world of the younger generation. As a working professional, she seemed to me the Mary Tyler Moore type ... smart, witty, sensible, organized and oozing social graces. She was a model for the type of woman I wanted to be. I'm so glad I had a chance to see her in recent months but as always I realize that it wasn't enough. I hope with everything I have that she is with her mother, brothers, sisters, husband Dave, Phil and many other loved ones having one heck of a party and that Uncle Tony has spiked the watermelon with vodka!

Dear Donegan Family,
I am so sorry about the loss of Aunt Joan. She was such a sweet, caring person and truly looked out for my siblings and me, especially after our dad died. I will forever remember the fun family vacations we shared in Michigan and Indiana. She had a way of making each person around her feel special. I am so glad I had the chance to visit her in December. We shared a few laughs and memories of fun times, and she was interested to hear about our lives now too. She will be dearly missed. You have my deepest sympathy.
Love,
Eileen

Dear Donegan Clan,
I am so sad to hear of the passing of Aunt Joan. She was truly a wonderful, kind, and classy lady. She did so much for our family. I will never forget all the times she took me to lunch when I worked as a temp downtown every summer for many, many years. She also gave me a baby shower. We have such happy memories of her infamous Fourth of July parties. There are no words to convey my sorrow. The world lost one of the good ones. Sending hugs and prayers your way.
