John Kevin Stenson Sr, 71, returned to his heavenly home on March 25th, 2015 after a valiant battle with cancer. His devotion to his family and his belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace. John was born to the late Thomas and Mary Stenson. He attended Chicago Vocational School in Chicago and served honorably in the United States Navy. John was blessed with a large family and married his best friend Donna Mae. John helped raise four boys with patience, discipline and humility. John is survived by his wife, Donna; his sons John Jr, Paul, Michael and Richard; his grandchildren and great grandchildren; his two brothers and two sisters. The funeral mass will be held at St. Mary of Czestochowa on April 11th, 2015 at 10:00 AM. John will be buried at Mount Carmel Cemetery on April 11th, 2015, at 12:00 PM.

My sympathies and prayers are with John's family. I will remember him at the ambo as a lector at mass at Mary, Queen of Heaven church. Eternal Rest....
