Joseph Sakala Obituary
Joseph Robert Sakala, 93, died peacefully surrounded by family on April 2, 2015. He was born in Cicero, IL in 1922. He was a US Navy Lt., serving in the South Pacific during World War II. He earned his MBA from the University of Chicago and was a longtime Hinsdale resident. Joe had his own accounting practice in Hinsdale before joining Itofca as CFO. He was an avid golfer enjoying many happy days in Door County, WI with family & friends. He was a member of Union Church of Hinsdale. His kind and grateful spirit touched all who knew him. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years Jane (nee Dahl); his daughters Carol (Dan Dick) of Natick, MA and Barbara (Tony) Hill of Hinsdale; his grandchildren Tyler, Leah, Britta and Jonah; his nieces and nephew. Interment private. Memorials appreciated to honorflight.org.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
