Ken was my first boss at Heinz. I was a 24 year old single mom. He personally paid for my first 2 classes so I could go back to school and get my Bachelors. My life and career would not be as I know it without Ken. Such a wonderful, caring mentor. My first boss was my best boss. How lucky I am.

I worked for Ken from 1982-1984 at Heinz in Pittsburgh. He taught me a lot in that short period of time, especially how to be a better writer. I remember him as being very smart and hard-working, but who always had time for his subordinates and co-workers. I am so sorry to hear about his passing, especially at such an early age.

Ken was a hot-blooded Italian who always got fired up when it came to making money or Notre Dame winning a football game. Even though the numbers weren't always "right", we got through it somehow. We miss ya!

Ken was a terrific boss and mentor for me at StarKist. I learned so much from him - he was one of the brightest and most caring people I have ever worked with. And Ken took a chance hiring me - and I will be forever grateful to him for giving me that opportunity.

Ken was a great man and as I told him and others many times the smartest man I know. Here are a few things that bring a smile to my face when I think of Ken: ski trips in Park City, dinner parties, home construction, the king of gadgets, all those yellow shirts, Lauren's interview coach and a helping friend to the end. My family will miss you, thank you for the memories you will never be forgotten.

Oh Captain Ken...how many wonderful memories of you. Especially, those early Monday morning calls at CAG...the projector glitches and you patiently helping me. And the endless deadline presentations...only to use just half of the 920 pages...ha! More importantly, what a dear, treasured friend you were long after CAG days. I treasure the time with my new husband on your boat....and all the special touches to make it so memorable. I still cannot believe you are gone, but I will cherish all the fun laughs we had over the years. RIP my friend...and CHEERS to one more glass like in our good old happy hour days at Prego's!! Love you Captain K!

Ken told the best stories, we miss him dearly. He was very smart, thoughtful and kind. His legacy will live on thru Cliff, Alex and Rory. All we can do is be good people and know that Ken would be proud to call himself our father.

Remembering the DVD you hunted down and found a"1941" with John Belushi & John Akroyd. Because Belushi flew a
Corsair F-4U plane ( a plane we used during WWII). That I worked on during my time in the Marine Corps. Whenever I watch the DVD, I'll think of you Ken. Enjoyed many great times at the house. RIP Ken.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
