Max Isaac Allender, almost two years old. Most adored son of Jessica C. Allender. Cherished twin brother of Coral Leah. Beautiful grandson of Skip and Suzanne Allender. Nephew of devoted aunties Laura, Allison, and Deb. Heroic patient of all his dedicated nurses and care-givers. Graveside services Sunday, 1PM at Oakwoods Cemetery, 1035 E. 67th St., Chicago. I do not know you personally, but happened to pass by the park and the tree where you so lovingly placed a stone in your child's memory. I cannot imagine your grief and sense of loss but wanted you to know that I am thinking of you and praying for you.

Dear Allender family,
I read of your tragic loss and my heart goes out to all of you.There is nothing worse than having a sick child or worse yet, losing a child. No words can compensate.
I remember back to Skip and my days as teenagers. Little did we suspect what life would have to offer, both good and bad. And then I met Laura--who is part of the good. I just want to connect with all of you at this tragic time because we are all a part of the tapestry of life. Our lives have touched one anothers' and I reach out to you all with love and sadness for your loss. May Max's memory be for a blessing.
