Robert L. Skinner Jr., 72, former American Airlines executive, died January 6, 2014. United States Air Force veteran. Retired from thirty-five year career with American Airlines and later retired from U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration Civil Aviation Security as Assistant Security Inspector. Survived by two sisters, B. Camille Rountree (Richard,) and Cynthia Skinner Williams, nieces and nephews, family and friends. Viewing Hours, Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 1:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral, Friday, January 17, 2014, Visitation at 9:00 AM. Services at 11:30 AM in Unity Funeral Parlors, Inc., 4114 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL 60653, 773-624-2703. Bob was a wonderful friend,co-worker and Boss. His strive for excellence in conjunction with his sense of fairness in managing always stood out.Bob was always the life of the party.His love for fine food,travel and fine things inspired me to reach for the stars.He gave more than he recieved. I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Bob. He was a great person and very much admired and respected. I am so forunate to have him not only as my boss but also a friend. My thoughts and prays are with your family.
