Salvatore Nuzzarello Obituary

Nuzzarello, M.D., Salvatore T. (Sam) of Naples, Florida, born November 18th, 1926 in Chicago to the late Joseph and Rose Nuzzarello. He is survived by his Loving Wife Flora, nee Petrone, and his children Roseanne (John) Lynch, Ernie (George) Grzeca, Linda (George) Leksas, Joseph (Sandy, nee Piskos) Nuzzarello, and Angela (Karl) Aavik. Cherished Grandfather of Dylan and Flora Lynch; Samantha and Geena Grzeca; Kristofer and Timothy Leksas; Thomas, Jessica, and Amelia Nuzzarello; and Olivia, Audrey, and Mia Aavik. Fond Uncle to many. After graduating from Chicago Medical School in 1952, Salvatore began Private Medical Practice in Northlake, Illinois. He then went on to a Psychiatric Practice in Northlake and Oak Brook, Illinois. His board certifications include the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians. He earned many additional appointments including, Director in the Department of Somatic Therapy, Riveredge Hospital; Senior Psychiatric Consultant, Villa Scalabrini; Chairman in the Department of Psychiatry, Mercy Center/Health Care Services; Chairman of the Utilization Review Committee, Westlake Community Hospital; Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry, St. Anne's Hospital; and the Former President of the Columbian Club of Chicago. Family and Friends are to gather for the Funeral Saturday, April 30th, 2016 8:30 a.m. from Russo's Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, IL 60162 (between Mannheim and Wolf Road) to St. John of the Cross Parish, 5005 S. Wolf Road, Western Springs, IL 60558. Mass 9:45 a.m. Entombment private. Visitation Friday, April 29th, 2016 from 3:00 - 9:00 p.m. For additional info (708)449-5300.
