Sara Hill of Naples met our Lord after a long struggle with lung disease. She was born to Mary and Edmund Quinn in Providence, RI. Sara attended Blessed Sacrament School, St. Patrick's High School, and Rhode Island College forming friendships that continue today. She taught in the Providence Public School System. She authored and directed a religious education program for hundreds of children in her Northbrook, IL parish. She co-founded Caring Companions in Chicago to serve the elderly providing employees, too, with unequaled care as she lived out her belief in social justice for all. She served on the boards of Northbrook Senior Housing Commission, the Adolorata Villa in Wheeling, IL, and the Park Ridge Center for the Study of Health, Faith, and Ethics in Chicago. Sara is survived by her husband, Bob; her children, Bob III, Brian (Grace), Greg (Mary) and Sally (Tom) Quinlan; 9 cherished grandchildren, Liza, Robin, Kaitlyn, Margaux, Michaela, Max, Sara, Maggie and Jack; sisters, Jane (Paul) Broughton, Helen Quinn and a chorus of thousands. Her brother, Jim Quinn, and sister, Mary Regan predeceased her. She was an angel in disguise, committed, loyal, and dedicated to her family, friends, and Old St. Patrick's. May the beauty, love, laughter, and caring she brought to all of us live in us forever. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Old St. Patrick's Church, 700 West Monroe, Chicago preceded by a visitation from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. in the Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift in Sara's memory to Old St Patrick's Journey Forward Fund. Online condolences may be offered at www.shikanyfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are being handled by Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home.

My parents and I were so sorry to hear of Sara's passing. "Sara! Oh, so many good memories!" said my Mom, Janet Sullivan when I told her the news. Both Dick & Janet Sullivan, my parents, join me in extending our condolences to the entire Quinn & Hill families.

We all know that our time in this world is limited, and that eventually all of us will take that final journey. And yet it is always a surprise when it happens to someone we know so well. It hurts a little more when it is family, even far away. So, may the road rise to meet you, May the wind be always at your back, May the sun shine warm upon your face, The rains fall soft upon your fields and, Until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand. God Bless you on your next journey.
