Ted Palter enjoyed a wonderful, extended life of influence in the stories shared with us by his son, John. We mourn the passing of such a wonderful soul. But, we rejoice in his amazing spirit knowing he has joined the mighty cloud of witnesses above. Many blessings to the Palter family.

My deepest sympathies to your entire family. I was very sad to learn of your Dad's passing. I would like to share some things about your Dad that you probably didn't know…. Each and every one of the Scaman's loved your Dad and looked up to him. We all have very fond memories of him and have talked about him over the years. Some of the things I remember about him…
Your Dad came over to our house one summer and changed out a pipe for the main water line when it clogged up and showed me how to properly use an adjustable wrench. He taught me how to ride a bike in August of 1966 when I was five, I think on Billy's own bicycle despite his objections. He also came over to our house one night and put our cat Punkin to sleep when it had a terminal disease. He taught me how to operate a lawnmower without cutting of my foot. He taught us how to make a tent and tepee out of Christmas tree trunks and an old green canvas. He showed us the process and reasoning behind having a compost garden in the back yard. He taught us the value in buying a battery charger and recharging your own batteries instead of just throwing the used ones away. And one of my fondest memories of your Dad is of him presenting the slide shows of the family vacations in the basement.
I think I speak for many in saying that your Dad was an awesome person and he will not be forgotten.
