Warren P. Fabisch, 93, 57 year resident of Edison Park. U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Beloved husband of the late Geraldine A. Fabisch, nee Zobott. Loving father of Gale (Nancy) Fabisch, Conrad Fabisch and Brenda (Steven) Grove. Proud grandfather of Genevieve, Erika, Paul, Lesley and Lauren. Dear uncle of Pam (Dale) Peters, Jeff (Lynn) Zobott, Keith Zobott, the late Richard Zobott and the late Doreen (Greg) Pasenko. Life member of Park Ridge VFW Post 3579. Active 57 year member of Edison Park Community Church. Warren was born and raised in the Portage Park neighborhood of Chicago, in the Cicero Dakin Fabisch Building, graduate of Schurz High School and Mechanical engineering graduate of Illinois Institute of Technology. During WWII, served as Wire Chef in Italy and Vienna, Austria. Designed and patented many switches for the first Mercury Space Capsule and continued to design work in the "Space Race". In later years he performed engineering at Littlefuse to retirement. Strong believer in family, church and education and an avid bowler, little league coach and assistant scoutmaster. Visitation Sunday March 29, from 2 until 8 PM at the M.J. Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 Northwest Highway, Chicago. Family and friends will meet Monday at Edison Park Community Church, 6675 N. Oketo for Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment Acacia Park Cemetery.
