Bill was a good friend of while we were growing up in Evanston. I did not realize until recently that he had passed away, and regret not having reconnected later in life.

I am not in the least surprised at his admirable professional history, as he and other members of his family were extremely sensitive to social issues and injustices.

I met Bill during his junior year at the University of Iowa. We were unlikely friends, given my small town Iowa background, but we became great friends through school and sports. He was a great softball player, pool player, and bowler, and we both shared a passion for the law and helping the little guy. May all those that knew him remember his passion for his family, friends, and justice.

Billy was a childhood friend and schoolmate who loved baseball. He was fast on the base paths and, as a right-hander developed a talent for hitting lefty which allowed him to get lots of hits. We also enjoyed many hours playing the ABPA baseball card game.

Bill was the consummate family man enriching the life of others in so many ways. His love of life and practicality made him a warm engaging person with a great dry sense of humor. He will be so missed and so fondly remembered.
Warmly,
Brian Behles, DDS
