Dave Brubeck inspired me at age 14. Have been a fan ever since. Thanks for the memories. Wch Pgn.

I met you and Paul after a concert in 1962 in Framingham, MA. You were introducing Castilian Drums, and the drummer (no need to name him) was delayed on a flight from Chicago. You performed as a trio, which was great, and then Joe showed up after intermission and treated us to that magnificent drum solo, later "enshrined" on the Carnegie Hall album(s)-- which I think of as THE definitive Brubeck recording. My friend and I later bumped into you at a Howard Johnson's, where we'd gone to have a sundae. I blubbered how much I loved your music and how much it meant to my understanding of jazz and music in general. I will miss you... and treasure your music... always.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the music of my life. Now you can join the concert in heaven. Blessings to family.
