I had the privilege of meeting Col. Day in Hyannis Ma, at a formal Military Dinning In. He was an inspiration to me. America has lost a True American Hero. I salute you Col Day and you will always be remembered.

A few years ago I was visiting my daughter in Manhattan Kansas, went into a Antique Store, there was a display case one of the old one that went around and around, in it was a old POW wrist band, I thought this is no place for that. I bought it and came home and started searching for Bud. Tracking him down in Florida was able to get his phone number gave him a call. We spent quit awhile talking about this and that, told him that he should have it back, that was the tradition if the person was still alive to try to locate and return, if not then you kept it for yours.
I gave him my best and thanked him for serving our country as I did during that time. We said our good byes ...Now Bud I salute you again, will have to find your book and read it ....
