I'm very sad to hear the passing of Stanley. My heart goes out to all of his family, friends, and especially his wife Lucille. Stan's charisma and magnetic personality will be missed, but never forgotten.
I am Stan's nephew, and Stan was my dad's (Don) big brother. My dad succumbed to cancer 27 years ago, after a five month illness. It was a heart-wrenching time, but Stan and Lucille were there for him and did everything they could throughout that trying time. This meant so much to my dad, as well as myself.
Stan was very engaging and went from one hobby to another. He would literally become an expert at each one before moving to the next.
As a kid, I always looked forward to visiting with the Weavers at Christmas time etc. I knew Stan would be into something interesting; something new and exciting. He was just a lot of fun to be around, he lived life to the fullest.
Regretfully I didn't maintained contact with Stan's side of the Weaver family since I moved to Oregon in the mid 90's. But they have my deepest and most sincere sympathy with the loss of Stan. I will never forget "Uncle Stanley". RIP
