Ida Lee Stiff

1941 - 2013

IDA LEE STIFF Ida Lee Stiff, age 72, passed into the presence of the Lord on July 2, 2013. She died in her home in Grants Pass, Oregon three and half months after being diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. She was surrounded by loving family until the end. Ida was a generous and compassionate Christian woman who dedicated her life to serve and care for others. Ida, born on February 22, 1941 in Stockton, California moved to Chico in 1952, graduated from Chico High School in 1958 and lived in the Chico area for over 50 years. She enjoyed working for Mervyn's Department Store and most recently for Hallmark Cards. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Jim Stiff, daughters, Laura McLaughlin and Sally Layton, son, Kyle Stiff, daughter-in-law, Nell Stiff, granddaughters, Maddie Roach, Mikayla Stiff, and Elena Stiff. She is also survived by her mother, Ida Divine, brother and sister-in-law, James and Kay Divine, aunt, Beth Schmid, niece, Linda Geigle and their families. Ida will be greatly missed by all her loved ones. A special gathering of friends and family will be held at Brusie Funeral Home in Chico on July 5, 2013 at 10am.
