I worked with Stan in Oroville, CA for the old Wentz-Holiday market, in 1974. I was a boxboy and Stan, at the time lived in Chico. I have often thought of Stan over the years. I;m sorry to learn of his passing. My thoughts are with the family.

My earliest memories of Uncle Stanley are still quiet vivid. When I was a little boy, my dad would take our family to visit during Christmas time. It was so fun and exciting to be around Stanley. He always had something really good going on. Another memory that stands out was going to the lakes for boating. Stanley was the first to teach water skiing to me. He pulled me by hand from the beach, over and over before using a boat. His enthusiasm for the water and boating rubbed off onto my Dad, then it got me. I have had the time of my life boating and fishing. My heart and love goes out to all the family. I will always remember my Uncle Stanley.

To Aunt Lucille, Fred, Becky, and Angela; a heart felt sorry for your loss of Stanley. I can not think or remember of anything he could not do or figure out.

I have very fond childhood memories of many Decembers spent in Chico: how welcomed we felt there and Stan always having some project or hobby in progress...they were never the same over the years.

I will never forget Stan's quick wit, his intense blue eyes, and cheering for the 49ers-I cheer for you!

We will look forward to seeing our loving Brother after he is resurrected. I can see him now. " Precious is here...miss me?
We love and miss you too Lucille.

Here is a photo of Stan and part of the Weaver clan at my dad's house on Steamboat Slough, in Walnut Grove. I took this picture I believe in 1985.
