A great man who was not cheated by death-- lived life to the fullest. His bravery and intellect will be missed.

Although he could be abrasive, which I always thought was intentional, Christopher Hitchens never failed to be entertaining, interesting, inspiring, and challenging. His obvious superior intellect put most other people's to shame, and he was the voice of reason in a world way too full of extremist religious nuts. Any time he was scheduled to appear on a TV show or one of his books was reviewed, I never failed to watch or read. I will miss him. R.I.P. Christopher, until we all meet again.

A writer's writer. A thinker's thinker. May his soul soar to Heaven and be welcomed with a wink and a shrug.

Thank you for the pleasure of your wit, for sharing your brave opinions, and for pointing out absurdity that should have been obvious to us all. You always made us think. Rest easy, friend.
You did one hell of a job!
