Mattia was a wonderful father and husband and the best neighbour we could ever have. Always kind and smiling with a good word for everyone, we love him dearly. How proud he was of his devoted daughter Sandy, and his beautiful wife Olga, both of whom he treasured. When I was fortunate enough to visit with Mattia, he told me proudly about the "Mattia and Olga love story" and it was clear how much he cherished the precious days he spent with you Olga. God truly blessed you both.

Our families have lived across the street from each other for years, and we have shared many good cups of Italian coffee, Dutch and Slovak goodies, and friendly visits. Mattia was so hardworking too and he was always there when he was able to help. Interestingly, Sandy you really share that trait with your father, and we love you so much for your being there. Olga, my dear special friend, we have shared many happy and many challenging times together and you will get through this. You and Sandy and Paulo and your family have a special angel to watch over you, and trust me he, my mother and father, and Ylona, will be keeping a close eye on all of us...that is when they are not dancing as Mattia and my dad play their accordions. One day we too hope to join the party but for now remember when the thunder comes and the rain falls, my mother always told me the dancing would be starting in Heaven...with some good wine falling as rain.

Mattia will be missed so much but he had the time of his life living with a good family who loved him dearly. We were the lucky neighbours to be his good friends. My children adored him and he always took time for them from when they were very young to when they were older. Goodbye my dear neighbour from the Galls, and Jumahs & Ethiers who were lucky enough to have lived across the street. We will miss you but promise to keep an eye on your precious family. Love, Jeanetty, Naana, and Kwasi Jumah

To Olga and all family

We all want to send our condolenses to all of you. You all in our thoughts and prayers on a difficult day. He was a remarkable man and was always happy to see everyone. We all going to miss him and his smiling face. It was a big shock to see him go. All of you treasure the memories all of you had of him. No more pain and he is at peace.
