Dorothy G. (Smith) Wyant, 89 of Blairsville, GA, formerly of Inverness, FL and Worthington, PA, stepped into glory on October 27, 2017. She was preceded in death by her Father and Mother, James and Jesse Smith, brothers: Roy Smith, Robert Smith and James Smith; her first husband, Theodore F. Smith I,
second husband, Harding A. Wyant I, and her step son, Harding "Ashley" Wyant II.
Surviving children: Sandra Wyant Beer of Gifford, PA, Kathleen Smith Panek of Scranton, PA, Theodore F. Smith Jr. of Inverness, FL, William Wyant of Gulfport, FL, Barbara Smith O'Brien (Harry) of Blairsville, GA, Debra Smith Northrop (Mike Didsbury) of Inverness, FL, Carol Wyant of Gulfport, FL, and Lori Ann Wyant Leskanic (William) of Monticello, FL. Also survived by 20 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Inverness and attended the First Baptist Church in Blairsville, GA.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, November 2, 2017, at
11:00 AM, at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness, with Dr. Ray Kelley, officiating. Burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, beside her beloved, Harding. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until service time. Arrangements handled by Cochran Funeral Home, Blairsville, GA and Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness.
