Edith was a childhood friend of my brother and me. I learned of her passing recently. Our childhood was not happy so, we loved spending time with the Kahlsons. It was wonderful reading the many kind remarks made about Edith. Thank you for being our friend and making our childhood a little more bearable. Rest in peace. One day we will be playing hide and seek in heaven.

Your friend,
Vivian Meadows Bawtenheimer (Bidgie)

Edy was a life long friend from childhood. I never dreamed she would slip away from this earth before me, as I am older. Edy was dynamic, loving, hard working, artistic, and loved her husband Ben most of all. She lived her life with few regrets. Leaving Ben was her deepest sorrow. If God has a garden for her to tend I'm sure she will will have one of the best in heaven. She was my adopted sister, and my mother's adopted daughter. She was part of my whole family. She is watching over us all, and especially her beloved nephew Bengt, her brother and sister, and many, many more.

I miss our talks and all of the wisdom Edy offered regardless of our physical distance. The kids and I really miss Edy and we find ourselves saying "Edy would have liked this, daily" May you rest in peace and keep dancing when the phone rings.

Edy will be missed by many. I will miss her jokes and wisdom everyday. I loved Edy as a friend and as a mom, even though she isn't my mother I still love her

Edy was truly the bravest person I know. Her health setbacks were no match for her dynamic personality and her easy laughter. She was the queen of the garden, where her artistry was displayed each spring and summer. Good bye my dear friend.Maybe you'll visit me in my garden next spring as a hummingbird or a cool breeze.

Edy was the strongest and most fierce warrior I have ever known in her fight against cancer. And she was also one of the most caring and tender people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. We have all lost a great gift, but are lucky to have had her.

I'm sure my dad, Jerry Rouff, was there to greet her when she arrived! What a great friend she was to him and my aunt, Barb Koch. My thoughts and prayers to your family!
