I must be among the few who followed a year behind Tom at Christ the King, then Hartley, and then Xavier. One of my great high school memories was stuffing basketball all-conference Tom on a layup during a varsity-reserve scrimmage And three years later when I transferred to Xavier, Tom remembered me, we played in a few pick-up games, and he got me a tryout and eventual offer to play on Xavier's varsity. I hope, somewhere, the family has a picture of Tom and that silky jump shot. It was a beauty.

To Sandy and family, I knew Tom from grade school at Christ the King through high school. I always thought he was one of the good guys, and I am saddened to hear of his passing. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Tom I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your Father. While reading about him I thought he would have been a great man to know. My prayers and thoughts are with you and you family.

Sandy & Family,

I was honored to have Tom as a classmate at Bishop Hartley High School. He was always upbeat, positive, and had a ready smile. In reading over his accomplishments, I must admit that I am not surprised. He was a person who "truly made a difference" even when in high school. He carried that through during his life...leaving this world a better place for his having been here.

Please accept my sympathy for your loss and accept my prayers for you as you go forward with God's help and the support of Tom's many friends and colleagues.
