Our thoughts and prayers are with your family during this diffucult time. Sen. Specter was a "champion of the people" who always put his constituents first and foremost. He was always brave in the fights he had to fight, showing so much perserverence and dignity. He was and forever will be "A Pennsylvainia Champion"

God Bless each of you,
The Smith Family

To the family, I am very sorry for your loss. Mr. Specter was a man who cared about our veterans. I wrote to him several years ago when the HR department at Coatsville Veterans hospital wanted to release my father, a WW two veteran. He was on a waiting list for the Southeastern Veterans center and his name had not come up soon enough for the staff at Coatsville. My mother was 90 years old and living with me. I could not take care of my father also with his dementia. Within a short time of writing to Mr. Specter, the Coatsville staff became very friendly and my father was permitted to stay until he was admitted to the Southeastern center. I will always be grateful for Mr. Specter's concern and help with my case. Sincerely yours and with sympathy, Gay Paldan
