It is with great sadness that I read about Danny's passing away. Just saying his name brings a smile to my face and very fond memories. Remember visiting in their first apartment, when he and Nancy were young love bugs, going out for happy hours, and spending Thanksgivings with the family……always with many laughs and witty remarks. I can only imagine what a huge hole this leaves in everyone's lives as a son, husband, father, brother and friend to many. My heart goes out to you Nancy and all the Derwin family. Love you all. Nina

It is always hard to choose the right words to say at a time like this. I feel very sorry for the loss of Danny. I offer a warm heart, a shoulder to cry on, and solumn prayer for Danny and his family. We shared smiles, laughs, played basketball and baseball together in high school among other things. The memories are all good. I am sure you have better family memories to share and cherish as well. Keep them close.
Sincerely, Andy Strutko. A '82 classmate and friend.

Dear Nancy and Family-
We are saddened by this tragic loss. While no words could possibly console the grief you all must feel, I'd like you to know we'll always remember Danny for the gracious and good-natured person and friend he was to so many of us. We're all better off for the far too short a time we had with him in this world.
Warmly,
Matt and Michele Adams

Danny was a nice person. He is one of the few people I have met in this world who was sincere in what he said and did; he was kind to me in a time when I needed a friend. I wish I would have spoken to him more. It is sad that he should die so young. We always think we will be eighty or ninety years old when our friends die. I will remember his kindness. Nancy, Sean, I feel for your loss; it cannot be expressed in words.
