Jamie Terpak, 32, of Moosic, passed away Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018, at her home.
She was born the daughter of Deborah Terpak and the late James L. "Terp" Terpak, of Wilkes-Barre, and was a 2004 graduate of James M. Coughlin High School.
Post-graduation, Jamie worked for Pen Fern Oil before joining the team at the Vantage Trust Federal Credit Union, where she spent 10 years surrounded by co-workers she considered family.
She is survived by her mother, Deb; beloved stepfather, Jim Collins; maternal grandmother, Ida Neyhart; sisters, Amanda, Ashley and Julia; and several nieces and nephews, whom she spoiled relentlessly. She is also survived by remarkable friends she adored to have in her life; her loving cats, Beezle, Ginger, and Max; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Though her life was tragically cut short, Jamie's devotion to her family and friends will always resonate in their hearts, as will her endless sense of humor.
Jamie loved video games and card games and was known by her sisters as being the queen of one-line comebacks. At heart, she enjoyed the simple things in life and getting to spend time around those she loved most.
Her family and friends came first; Jamie would go above and beyond to put a smile on the face of her loved ones and was selfless in her loyalty towards them. Jamie was one of a kind, and it was only with her passing that we realize the magnitude of the impact she had on our lives. With her departure, she takes a large part of us with her.
Keeping in touch with Jamie's fun-loving personality, rather than a traditional funeral service, the family will be hosting a memorial from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Dupont Hose Company, 308 Main St., Dupont.
Following services at 2:30 p.m., the family welcomes her friends to share any thoughts and memories. The family offers food, beverages and a warm welcome to those able to join in celebrating the life of the beautiful soul lost this year.
Jamie's closest family and friends want to take a moment to reach out to those who also may be contemplating suicide. You are loved. You matter. Regardless of what is going on in your life, there are people that are willing to listen, help and get you through your darkest hour. You are worth it.
If you do not have anyone you are comfortable confiding in, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255 before making what is a permanent decision, and one that will forever crush those you love and leave behind. Jamie's life may have been spared had she understood she was worth far more than the heartbreak that caused her to end it.

My sister's and myself knew Jamie and her sisters when we were younger. We spent endless summer hours together hanging out, playing, and having a great time. I'll never forget these priceless memories. You will be forever missed and loved, but never forgotten.

I haven't been able to find the right words to describe how much you really meant to me. I know we didn't talk a lot in the past few years only at the good ol trust, but my fondest memories of high school are most certainly involving you. I will miss your laugh and the way you would put your head in your hands when I said something crass or dumb. I'm going to miss you teasing me about my vampire hair. I wore it like that on Sunday for you. I wanted to talk to everyone, your family especially at your service and tell them these things, but my anxiety always gets the best of me. I will probably always keep your number that you wrote down with your name on a post it in my wallet because it will always just be a little piece of you that I get to have. Thank you for being who you were and for always being my friend. My heart is with you and with all your family and loved ones.

I had the blessing of being able to work with Jamie for 3 months back in 2009. In that short amount of time she made such a lasting impression. I looked forward to closing with her. Her witty and sarcastic remarks and stories about her family made our days go by quickly. To hear of her passing, even though it had been years since we had seen each other was soul crushing. As someone who struggles daily with crippling depression and self harm, to know how it feels to feel alone even though you are surrounded by people that love you. I wish her eternal peace and her family lasting and loving memories.

Jamie is a wonderful soul. We worked together at vantage trust years ago and she would always brighten my day with her energy, humor, light heartedness, and genuine concern for the wellbeing of others. I believe she is not gone, but simply transitioned to her spirit form. She will live on in all of our hearts, minds, and memories.
