Marilyn Ruth Plashinski O'Boyle

Marilyn O'Boyle Obituary

Marilyn Ruth Plashinski O'Boyle of Winterville, N.C., daughter of Daniel and the late Mary Morgan Plashinski, formerly of Plymouth and Trucksville, mother to Erin E. O'Boyle of Winterville, N.C., and sister to Kristin Kasabucki of Cromwell, Conn., returned home Monday, April 14, 2014, at Hartford Hospital after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She did so with Grace, Dignity and Spirit of an Angel. Her constant positive attitude and spirit attracted everyone to her, gaining the admiration of all her caregivers during this time.

A child of God, Lyn entered this world Jan. 17, 1961, in Albuquerque, N.M., and was created in his image as a vessel with unbelievable gifts to share with those who she in contact. She believed her destiny was planned by him, even before she arrived on earth 53 years ago, knowing that he would never give her more than she could handle and that each and every day was a Blessing.

Lyn graduated from Dallas High School, Dallas, Class of 1979, resided in the Greenville, N.C., area for the past 31 years and moved to Connecticut to be closer to her father, who is a resident at Hospital for Special Care in New Britain, Conn., and her sister, Kristin. She was a valued member of the Connecticut Chiropractic Association staff and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Erin O'Boyle; sister, Kristin Kasabucki; brother-in-law, Edward; father, Daniel, and stepmother, Constance, Newport News, Va.

She was greeted in heaven by her mother, Mary Bernice Morgan Plashinski, Plymouth; maternal grandparents, Sydney Arnott and Ruth Patton Morgan, Plymouth; and paternal grandparents, Harry and Mary Kacan Plashinski, Larksville; and George and Vivian Morgan Carpenter, Clarks Summit.

There will be no viewing or calling hours as Lyn did not believe in goodbyes—only "toodles" and see you soon, leaving you with a warm and compassionate hugs.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family in North Carolina.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Prince of Peace Episcopal Church, 420 Main St., Dallas.

The family is asking that, in honor and celebration of Lyn's life, you make gifts in her memory to the Hospital for Special Care, Patient Technology Fund, 2150 Corbin Ave., New Britain, CT 06050.

Notes of condolence may be sent to Daniel Plashinski, Hospital for Special Care, 2150 Corbin Ave., New Britain, CT 06050, or Kristin Kasabucki/Erin O'Boyle, 13 Washington Road, Cromwell, CT 06416.
