Gale Pardee

Gale Richard Pardee Gale Richard Pardee, 96, of Brownsville and formerly of Topeka, died on January 2, 2014 in Brownsville, TX. Gale was born on November 7, 1917 in Baldwin City, KS to Robert Burns and Etta (Stenstrom) Pardee. Gale graduated from Overbrook High School in 1937 and served his country honorably in the United States Army during World War II, assisting the occupational forces at the close of the war. Gale married Irma Bomberger Pardee on February 12, 1999 in Brownsville, TX. Gale worked for many years for Goodyear Tire and Rubber plant in the Topeka area. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #555 of Topeka, the VFW #1650, and the American Legion Post #400. He was a member of Northland Christian Church in Topeka. Gale was preceded in death by his parents; by his wife, Maxine Newton; and one brother, Robert Pardee. He is survived by his wife, Irma Pardee of Brownsville; one daughter, Linda Jones of Houston, TX; two grandchildren, Adrianna Jones of Houston and R.J. Jones of Colorado; one great-granddaughter, Savannah Jones of Houston; three step-daughters, Anita Schafer of Holton, Connie Thompson of Wichita, and Connie McCoy of Topeka; two step-sons, John T. Newton of New York and Jon Bomberger of Kemah, TX; eleven step-grandchildren; one brother, Frederick Pardee of Topeka as well as numerous step great-grandchildren. Gale s cremated remains will be laid to rest during a committal service at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, 3616 SW 6th Ave., Topeka.
