Jack Wilson Rigdon Jack Wilson Rigdon, 78, of Tecumseh, died on Thursday, February 26, 2015 in his home. Jack was born on March 3rd, 1936 in Topeka, the son of Virginia and Atley Rigdon. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1955. When he was a young man he worked at Murrays Grocery Store and delivered papers. Jack spent his entire career of 38 years working for Santa Fe Railroad. Jack enjoyed woodworking and spent many hours tinkering in his workshop. Jack was a member of Countryside United Methodist Church. His is survived by his wife, Kay, of Tecumseh; son Chris (Mary) of Olathe, KS; grandchildren Maddy, Jack, and Meghan. He will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Bryan. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka. Interment in Valley Falls Cemetery. Jack will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Monday, at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st, Topeka, KS 66604 or Countryside United Methodist Church, 3221 SW Burlingame Road, Topeka, KS 66611-2096.
