To the Schmelzer and Albright families. So sorry to hear about Judy. I too, am a classmate. She and I went to Grade school, Junior High, High School, and Juco together. I am so thankful that we were able to be together at the 45th reunion. It was such a joy seeing her. I will always remember what a vivacious person she was during our school years. Our thoughts and prayers are with your families during this time.

Dear Mrs. Schmelzer, Gary and Family, I'm so very sorry to hear that you've lost Judy. I was her classmate at Hutch High and Juco. What a lively, personable lady she was! I'm glad we got to see each other at our HHS 45th reunion in 2001. I'll cherish those memories, and think of you all with deepest sympathy. - Nedra [Ross] Moore

Gary, Brad & Jeff - Mike and I were so sorry to hear about Judy. We enjoyed so many times with her back in our earlier years. She is a very special person and has given us many wonderful memories. I can assure you that part of her lives on in many of us.

Judy and I became best of friends the first day of Kindergarten in 1943 at Allen Elementary School in Hutchinson, Kansas. It may have been two redheads attracted to each other. We've remained friends through our 66 years. Many good times were spent at each other's houses and when her family built a home next to ours in our Jr. High years, we spent many hours in conversation through our bedroom windows. Judy was also the namesake of my younger sister, Judy. We went through Brownies, Girl Scouts, Scout Camp and several vacations together.
Judy Kay will always remain in my heart.
