So sorry for your loss! Mr. Dodson was one of my instructors at Allen County, very sweet wonderful man who will be missed!

Family of Lee Dodson,

I was one of those many young soles that Lee influenced during his years as Dean at Washburn University. I was very active in students affairs/government and worked with Lee on innumerable occasions. He was a great mentor, and a great friend, and our paths continued to cross over many years after our meeting. My wife and I send our thoughts and prayers for each of you during these times of sorrow.

Please accept my condolences during this difficult time. I don't remember Dr. Dodson being called Mr. baseball in the 60's and 70's when I knew him. Yet all my memories of the Dodson family involve playing baseball. My favorite memory is playing catch in my front yard trying to catch a curve ball from Jim. I never caught it. My best to all the Dodson's.

To the family of Mr. Basebsll,
Lee was a very special man to me and my family! My kids grew up with him at the ballpark while their Dad played and later while they all played on the same field with our Grandson Jaxon watching. As Lee would say the Cooper's are at the park and ready to play ball!! We have been very fortunate to know and love the man that I will forever remember as Mr. Baseball. Annette Cooper & all the Cooper clan! Tony, Anthony (Lindsey, Jaxon), Justin, Nathan (Charlie).

Oh my, where do I start. I was one of many who had the privilege of growing up in Tecumseh with wonderful caring parents and teachers. Lee Dodson taught me in the classroom, on the ball field and in his tiny office when I needed a stern "talking to." Lee taught me to pitch and our mixed team (boys and girls on same team) was the best in the county! After ball practice, he would dress me in his mask, glove, shin guards and chest protecter, then pitch to me. He looked like a giant when he went into his wind up and kicked his left leg up to throw. The ball came so fast I didn't have time to be scared. In his classroom during the World Series the text books were put away at game time and we listened to the games on his radio and kept score on regular score books. He taught us all the correct way to score and we were graded, I'm sure to see if we were paying attention. I send my sincere condolences to his family during this sad time. Lee spent Christmas with Jesus this year. What more could we ask!
