Bobby Carter Obituary

Bobby G. Carter, 80, of Campbellsville, died at 3:05 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, in Campbellsville.
Son of the late Chester A. Carter and Golden Clasby Carter, he was born March 3, 1933, in Warren County, Ky.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served his country honorably in the United States Army.
He was a member of Pitman Masonic Lodge 124 F & AM.
After returning from military duty, he worked for Western Electric in Indianapolis, Ind., Detrex Chemicals in Bowling Green, Ky., Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville and retired as an operator from Tennessee Gas Pipeline Co. He also loved working with his John Deere tractors on the farm.
He married Mary Louise Hiestand on March 11, 1961. She survives.
Besides his wife, Mary Louise Carter, he is survived by three daughters, Jane Carter, Patti Brockman and her husband, Frank Owen, of Campbellsville; and Cathy Wright of Seattle, Wash.; two sons, Bruce Carter and his wife, Tonya, of Bowling Green; and John Carter of Louisville, Ky.; seven grandchildren, Rachael Dobson and her husband, Adam; Josh Buck, Justin Buck and his wife, Jordan; Natalie Buck, Alexandra Brockman, Ashley Wright Cook and her husband, Russell, and Brayton Wright; seven step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Amos Carter, Bennett Carter and Kenneth Carter; and two sisters, Runell Carter Bergin and Maybell Carter Bybee.
Funeral is at 3 p.m. today at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. Ron Young will officiate.
Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens with full military honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Family requests expressions of sympathy be donations to First United Methodist Church building fund and can be made at the funeral home.
