I grew up knowing Elsie when she would come over to our house on Lea Circle to visit my Mother, Ada Weatherall. One of my best memories was when I got a good laugh out of Elsie when I asked her if her wedding ring was a friendship ring. To me it looked like one. That was always a good story.
Mother and I would go to Elsie's home on numerous occasions through the years to have coffee and visit. As I grew to adulthood, I also joined around the table drinking coffee and eating goodies that Elsie ALWAYS had available. We talked and laughed about old times and shared some good recipes and jokes.
I will always have good memories to think about and will miss her terribly. Life can be good and cruel all at the same time. Thank goodness we know that we will see her on the other side one day. I'm sure she'll have coffee and goodies ready with some great stories of Heaven!
