All day today God has allowed me to remember all the fun times I had with my sweet friend Lanette. Each time I had a memory, I realized I was smiling. Nobody could tell a better story than 'Nette. I remember middle of the night phone calls, cruising with the T-tops out thinking we were all that, and just sitting around reminiscing. I loved Lanette like the sister I never had and will now have a void in my heart. I am so glad God allowed me 30 years to be friends with Lanette. I will miss her smile and her laugh, but most of all her heart! My prayers are with her family and I look forward to watching her beautiful children as they carry on the legacy of our Lord Jesus Lanette has left behind! I love you all!
A true angel who inspired many. Now she is free of pain and at peace
I will never forget the love and compassion she showed to my son during his 1st grade year. He had a head injury and surgery the summer prior to that school year and experienced some issues with his glucose afterwards. She was an absolute answer to prayer the way she cared for him and tended to him that year. When he had to be taken to the hospital one day from school she came to the hospital to check on him and told me about her and the other teachers praying for him out in the hallway of the school.
I found out I was expecting that year and we joked about our "bonus babies".
Please know how much we loved her and we will be lifting your family up in prayer as you face these difficult days ahead.
Keith LOVED Miss Weeks and she will forever have a special place in his heart as well as mine.
