I did not know Mr. Rundles, but I read today about his passing and that he was the first African American in the Marine Corps. My family and I live near Quantico, VA, and love all the Marines who serve our nation. But a special sense of love, honor and respect has to go to Mr. Rundles for his unique position in Marine Corps history. I salute you sir, and extend my condolences to your family.

This is the hardest things we can go through, because we are never prepared for death of a love one, so please find comfort in knowing sickness, pain and death will one day be no more for this has been promised to us. Please except my deep condolences.
