Ruth Granberry
Raymond
Ruth Helen Henry Granberry, 82, passed away Tuesday March 18, 2014 at Hospice Ministries. Visitation will be 4-6pm Thursday and 8:30am Friday at First Baptist Church in Raymond. Services will be 10:00am Friday at the church with burial to follow in Bethesda Cemetery.
She was born in Crystal Springs and resided in Terry, MS for most of her adult life.
She was a secretary and cafeteria manager for Terry High School and later worked as a rural mail carrier.
Ruth was a member of First Baptist Church of Raymond and previously of First Baptist Church of Terry where she was actively involved in Mission Trips and youth activities. She was very involved in Raymond High School Athletics where she served as President of the Booster Club for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Howard Granberry; son, Charles Granberry; two infant sons; brothers, Robert Glenn Henry and Ben Henry. Survivors include her sons, Kenny Granberry (Jackie) of Raymond, Vince Granberry (Michelle) of Terry, and Russ Granberry (Amy) of Florence; grandchildren Michael Granberry (Amanda) of Flowood, Christy Barrick (Dustin) of Terry, Gunter and Mattie Granberry of Terry, Charlie, Abby, Bethany, Caroline, Eli, and Amelia Granberry of Florence; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Louise Pippen of Fl.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Howard and Ruth Granberry Scholarship at HCCF; PO Box 1100, Raymond, MS 39154.
