STAFFORD CHARLES O. STAFFORD, age 81, of Montville, retired from GM, died Feb. 15, 2014. Born July 11, 1932 in Fanrock, WV to Ottoway and Margaret (nee Lockhart), he had been a 25 year Montville resident. Charles was a Purple Heart Recipient with the Army's 187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team during Korea. Survivors include his wife Judy (nee Hilger) of Montville; children Melinda Costanzo of Virginia Beach, Debra Stafford of Brook Park, Charles (Nancy) Stafford Jr. of Berea, Terry Stafford Sr. and Tammy (Chris) Conrad of Brook Park, Julie Nagy and Jason (Peggy) Nagy of Nebraska; 23 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, 2 brothers and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters; and 3 brothers. Memorial service 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014 at THE BURR FUNERAL HOME, 116 SOUTH ST. (ON RT. 44, 500' SOUTH OF RT. 6/CHARDON SQUARE), CHARDON, OH. VISITATION 1-2 P.M. ON SUNDAY AT THE FUNERAL HOME. Information and condolences online at www.burrservice.com.
