I worked with Colleen at the Studio Arena Theatre School in the early to mid 1980's, and performed with her in some crazy experimental theatre :) She was one of the warmest, funniest, brightest, and kindest people I have ever known, and colleages and students alike adored her. I especially admired her devotion to her family, her wonderful sense of humor and genuine approach to her many life roles, whether wife, mother, actor, teacher, or friend. She was an almost daily part of my life for a long time, and I wish I'd gotten in touch in recent years to catch up, and to thank her for the lasting impression she made on my life the lives of others at SAT. Please accept my sincerest condolences for your loss, the depth of which I can only imagine.

Colleen was a best friend, a mentor and an inspiration. She taught me about grace, making room for everyone's ideas, letting life in/happen, and so much more than I can list here. She had a calm warmth about her that made you feel better just being near her. Her children and Rolfe have it too. I think it comes from living with a group of people who love and support one another without measure. I will forever miss my friend and keep her and her family in my heart.

Our friendship began in the theatre department at Keuka. Memories are hilighted by one Summer Stock season in which we trouped a couple shows in a UHaul to Goose Bay in the Thousand Islands! My tangental pursuit of theatre paled in comparison to her focused and passionate devotion to the craft, not only as a career, but as a way of giving herself completely to her community, family and friends.
Gifted yet humble, and always compassionate, she was a treasured friend of mine. My heart goes out to her whole family, especially Rolfe, her children, and her mother. God bless you and keep you, Colleen.
With love,
