EDWARD HAYES Obituary

HAYES EDWARD JOSEPH HAYES, 84, passed away on December 18, 2013 at his residence in Hinckley, Ohio surrounded by his beloved family. He was born to Joseph and Elizabeth (nee Broslawic) on July 20, 1929 in Cleveland, Ohio. Edward served during the Korean Conflict with the United States Army. Edward was also proud to be with the Cleveland Police Department for 25 years. He was the First Aide Instructor with the Police Academy. Edward worked with the Petrus Cement Company for many years. He loved his Florida retirement home in Seminole, enjoying his special time; fishing, and with his family. Edward was a dedicated hard worker and a great helper, doing whatever he could for many people. He leaves behind his loving wife of 60 years Amelia "Amy" (nee Abramovich), son Joseph (Niki), daughter, Patricia "Trish" (Keith) Woodall, and his special grandchildren; JJ, Jennifer, Douglas, and David. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 2 to 5 PM at CARLSON FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES (Rt. 18 & River Styx Rd.) Medina, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 8:45 AM at Our Lady of Grace Parish Church, 1088 Ridge Road, Hinckley, Ohio. (Please meet at the church). Burial to follow in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.
