To the family, This is Nathan Geschke a childhood friend of Jimmys that lived on Brendan lane, I am so very sorry for your loss there are no words that will offer any help, My family has also dealt with loss of this same nature, I lost my older brother in 2006 and my younger brother October of 2013 , Both in the same tragic way as my friend Jimmy even though it has been years since we have spoken because i live in Baton Rouge. Even though miles and time has passed i thought of him often. Your family is in my prayers .

Jim, I just found out about the loss of your son or I would have been at the wake tonight. I am so sorry for you and your family. There are no words to comfort you. All I can do is pray that you have peace and comfort at this time. Your son will, along with God prepare a place for you all, so when it is your time to go to Heaven, you will have a seat next to your son and God... Words seem inadequate to express the feelings I have about Jimmy passing. When I think of the very best and funniest moments I have experienced in my life, almost all of them involved Jimmy. I know every friend he had, especially at OU, can recall similar experiences. That's just the type of personality he had. I loved and cared for him like a brother and always will.
