BURTNETT JOHN "JB" BURTNETT, 70, of Orangeburg, SC., died unexpectedly Saturday, May 17, 2014 in the Emergency Room at The Regional Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2014 in the Cornerstone Community Church with Artie Davis, Lead Pastor of Cornerstone, officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service and all other times at the residence. Born on December 18, 1943, he was the son of the late Carl Eugene Burtnett and Marjorie Lillian Fobes Burtnett. JB earned a Bachelor's Degree at Mount Union College in Alliance, OH., and worked for American Greetings Company and TRW as Manager of Cash Management. He left Cash Management to pursue his dream of owning his own business selling golf vacations, before retiring to Orangeburg in 2001, from Cleveland, OH. He returned to work as manager of Joe's Deli, known now as All Star Deli, and was currently employed in the Pro Shop of the Orangeburg County Club. JB was a member of Cornerstone Community Church and was an avid sports fan. Survivors are his loving wife, Pat Burtnett of the home; daughters Kelly Berricchia (Dana) and Kris Good (Robert), all of Alliance, OH.; a stepson, Chris Watkins of Meadeville, PA.; 5 grandchildren; a brother, Gregg Burtnett (Mary) of Alliance, OH.; and nieces and nephews.
