I worked with John years ago at Penton and he was a great colleague and a gentleman. He was extremely knowledgeable and always willing to help. One of my favorite memories of John was his desk - always piled so high with reference materials there was barely room to work. He will surely be missed by all who knew him.

John was always one of my favorite people at Penton when I worked there. He was knowledgeable and always willing to help. Plus he was a true gentleman. One of my best memories of John was his desk, stacked so high with reference materials that there was barely room to work. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

I had the pleasure of working with John on IndustryWeek - but had left Penton a number of years ago. I remember him to be a class-act; wonderfully talented, charming, and very gracious as a fellow colleague.
With my deepest sympathies on his passing.

I knew John as a kind and gentle man and a journalist with superior command of his subject matter and deep care for how it was covered. He set an example for many, and was a trusted source of many, many more. I'm sorry to hear of his passing, and send my heartfelt wishes to his family.

I am going to miss his humor and his charm, but I will always have the memory of his greeting playing in my mind: John Teresko, here. He was a great man, editor and friend. When I left IndustryWeek he asked that I call him every once in while just so he could hear my laugh. . . I will send a few obnoxious cackles your way. Peace xoxo
