Auntie-Girlfriend, it's been 5 years since your transition. I saw Victor from Y&R yesterday in a commercial and thought of you and smiled (still haven't watched it). I miss your presence and hearing your voice. With all that's going on here on earth, you have the best seat - a place of rest and peace. I truly love you and cherish the memories.

Today I remember my Aunt Maebelle fondly with loving thoughts and wonderful memories. She's still my "Auntie-Girlfriend" and I haven't watched a single episode of "our stories" (soaps) since your transition; that was our special time. Loving you always!!

To the family of the Late Mabelle E. Martin-McElrath,
On behalf of the Descendants of the Late Mathis Chapman and the Late Beadie Mae Robbins-Chapman, and the Late Matthew George Chatman, and the Late Mozell Corbin-Chatman, we would like to express our deepest sympathy to the Martin and McElrath family of Cleveland, Ohio. We are deeply saddened over the passing of our Cousin Mabelle.
We ask that God send His blessings to you during this difficult time.
We know that her passing will not only leave a void in your lives, but in the hearts of all those who knew her and grew up with him over the years.
Please know that our thoughts, prayers, and condolences are with you. We extend our sincere sympathy to the family of another great fallen servant-warrior-soldier.

I called Aunt Mabelle, "Auntie Girlfriend" because back in the day we used to watch "The Young and Restless" and "The Bold & Beautiful" and call and talk about "the stories" (how girlfriends often do). We did this for years until we both lost interest, but that didn't stop me from calling/talking with her about a lot of other things (family, foods she cooked for all our family members, God, church, past family memories, and so much more). Certainly I will miss her and our conversations. Love me some Auntie Girlfriend!
