I miss her although I do not get to DAR meetings too often, but she was such a gracious person to be
with and work with. My sister, Ruth Schroder passed away, but she was a friend of Marie's also.
I am grateful for knowing her. Sincerely, Mrs. G.L. Suder (Rebecca)

I was fortunate enough to meet Marie in 1963 when I was teaching first grade in a room near Marie's class at Evendale Elementary. I had just gotten married and we moved to Cincinnati with wedding gifts. Marie and Booth took us under their wings and helped us adjust to a new city, a new marriage and then a new baby. We moved in 1968 and we stayed in touch. We were both active in DAR and our respective churches. On Nov. 16 we made certain to be in touch since we shared a birthday.
Beverly and David were always great kids and she was so proud of what wonderful adults they became. And the grandchildren brought even more love. May all of her family find comfort in the wonderful memories of their mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. God's blessings on all of you.

When I first arrived at Christ Church Marie was the welcoming committee with her great smile and warm touch insisting I go to coffee hour not one Sunday but many. Who could say no to her she introduced me to now friends. She was a true Lady Warrior with her illness never complaining and regardless how bad she was feeling there was a smile when we greeted one another. I will always remember her kindness and warm welcomes. I pray for her family and all who loved her. Grace and peace be yours. God Bless you with peace Marie.

So many fond memories of working with you, Marie, in Cincinnati DAR projects. You served with distinction every chairmanship I gave you as chapter regent and made us all proud. Life was richer from knowing you and counting you as a friend.

My sympathy goes out to all of Marie's family. She loved you all so much. I have such precious memories from the years I volunteered in her kindergarden classes from 1969 to 1979. I was blessed to work with her and have her for a friend. It was a privilege to learn from watching her how lovingly she cared for her students. She was a model of a Christian woman who lived her values, loved her family and the Lord. I am thankful that she was a part of my life. May God bless each of you in this difficult time.
