Neal was one of those special people you would love to sit down with at a social gathering and simply "chew the fat". He was strong willed , intelligent and never afraid to share his opinion. Amongst the brothers in the fraternity, he was a joy to be around. I would imagine that long after Kent State, he continued with the very same traits as outlined above and was generous and kind. As I mentioned in past remarks at the time of his passing, he will be sorely missed and long remembered . Bob Elan

Dear Joyce,
I don't know if you remember me I lived in the ZBT house.
I am so sorry for your loss, my memories of Neal even 45 years later are very clear.
Super smart, funny and always ready to pass along his wisdom and kindness.
I was honored to be his fraternity brother and friend.

Sending my deepest sympathy to the entire family. Neal was my fraternity brother at Kent State. I also lived in the fraternity house on Main street. My memories of him are very clear even after so long. A classy gentleman, who always had a ready smile and projected so much wisdom.

On behalf of the entire BOB ELAN FAMILY, I send my sincerest condolences
to Joyce and family on this tragic loss. Neal and I were room mates at Kent State University and fraternity brothers with Z B T fraternity and we had many life time experiences that will always be remembered. I only regret that we did not manage to re-connect after we moved on from college. Nevertheless, I will always retain the best of memories. My Best wishes to the family ---- Bob Elan, 217 Broadway Suite 603, New York, New York 10007 212 962 - 1224

Neal and I were good friends. We had fun times as partners for seven years in the Jillian's pool league, which we won twice.
Neal used to say I taught him everything he knew about pool, but he turned it around and would kick my rear end all the time.
I will miss him.

Neal, I know it was later in my life when I got to know you even though we are family but I honestly can say that you are truly going to be missed. I will miss our talks and you listening to my thoughts of the day or how my weekend was and you always were there to listen no matter how buisy your day was! You really knew how to make me feel like I was your daughter too and that's why I would always say to you "love your adopted daughter " and you always gave me a big smile when I said that too you:). Well, now you will have to get those back scratches from Bobbie... I will always remember you saying "so tam.. How are those nails of yours.. Did you get them done lately?" and I knew that was your hint! Now that you are at peace and in no pain that makes it easier for me to handle your passing. Sending hugs and kisses to heaven for you ??
