Jerry Wiley Obituary
Mrs. Wiley was born on June 21, 1933 to Claude and Betty (Berry) Rice. She was a native of Wellington, Kansas, who had lived in Liberty County since 1984 having moved here from Oklahoma.
Mrs. Wiley was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Korean War. She was a member of the American Legion Post 168. Mrs. Wiley was a member of the Midway United Methodist Church.
She loved to travel, giving her the opportunity to visit new places and to make new friends. Mrs. Wiley will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by husband, Bobby Lee Wiley, and her parents.
Survivors are her sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Tori Wiley of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Robert Wiley and Lynn Trussell of Waycross and Hinesville; sisters, Roberta Richardson of Seattle, Washington, and Linda Rice of California; two grandchildren, Chelsi Wiley and Kristel Trussell; three great-grandchildren, Levi Walsh, Avery Walsh and Callie Walsh; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial service at Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home in Flemington.
Her memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, in the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gabe Gill officiating. Burial will be in Midway Methodist Church Cemetery. Military honors are being rendered.
