Almost a century of a well lived life- goodbye to a local icon of the South West...Uncle Cecil, big footsteps to follow, and a work ethic many should adopt. Wishing the family and friends much sympathy and strength, in the days to come. RIP Helen Simons (Victoria)

Our sympathy to Graham and Lisa and family on the sad loss of your Dad. A true pioneer and wonderful person. Thinking of you all tomorrow. Regards, John & Beryl Anderson and family.

We extend our sincere sympathy to the Noakes family at this time. What a true champion Cecil was who helped so many people through generously giving of his time, knowledge and assistance whenever called upon. Our family will be forever grateful for the dinky di Aussie generosity, especially in the early years of our arrival in the Rosa Glen district. Pa used to say, "If it wasn't for Cecil, I don't know what would have happened." From mastitis, milk fever, turning a calf the right way before birth to pulling a cow out of the creek. The red tractor forever emblazoned in our memories with great fondness. Well done to a good man and genuine true friend to so many. Hannes van Niekerk. Canning Vale W.A.
