My heart hurts as I realize a part of my childhood has passed. Michael was my first TV love and taught the truth about Indians and Life. You could see in his eyes the honesty of the person he was portraying and I still know him whenever I hear his voice on reruns. He would stop me in my tracks so I go to see the TV. For all the people you touched please know you will be missed. So glad to know so many felt the same as I do. RIP Michael
Always, Claudia Paolone

I will always remember him as Cochise. My father would let me stay up past bedtime because he thought this show had merrit. Over the years, whether watching old movies or TV shows, I can suddenly hear his voice and realize who the actor is. His presence in a scene draws attention. What I have read from those who knew him, he was a wonderful man. For this fan he lives on as a wonderful actor.

I grew up idolizing your performances as we shared the same ancestors on my grandmother's side of the family. My parents, both Lebanese, would look forward to you in all of the early television series. As an adult, I could be sometimes listening in the background and recognize instantly the booming resonant voice. I would like to extend my heartfelt sympathies to your family. --Don Saba
Lame Beaver in "Centennial", Mr Ansara brought him to life, as they seemed to share the same dignity and integrity. Thank you for your talent.

I remember as a boy seeing him portray a long list of Indian characters. It really was my only impression of who Indians were. His portrayals were always positive and showed me how honorable Indians were. I feel that if it were not for Mr. Ansara my generation would have seen true Indians in a different light.
He will be missed by many.
One of our favorite actors of all times..you will be greatly missed.
It is a shame to lose another great understated actor who has left his mark in Hollywood. Michael was an unassuming guy who just went out there, acted, and did his best. I grew up watching him in the westerns and adventure type shows. He always gave his best and delivered honest memorable performances. I didn't know he was Syrian which was interesting. He acted on Star Trek and other t. v. series and shows. I know God and Jesus will take very good care of this fine actor. Looks like I've lost another great actor, from my youth, they just seem to pass and fade away, darn it!
I don't think I ever missed a move with
