To quote another friend of mine, in Tim "We lost America's true poet laureate." I met Tim a couple of times but I wasn't lucky enough to consider him a true friend, since I only knew him through his shows. However, on many a lonely road trip Tim was my absolute best friend in the world and I'll miss him dearly. RIP buddy.

What a loss to the world.May peace be granted to the family by the God of Comfort. (1Co.1:2-4)B. Meill
To the family, I am a long time fan of Tim's. we've listened to him for years and me and my father listened to him on the johnboy and Billy show while we worked. it was kind of a bonding type thing that always brought us together, we could laugh together. Tims death made us both cry but we are joyful in knowing he's with the Lord. your family will be in our thoughts and prayers. there'll never be another quite like him. love in Christ, Dennis Lee Kastner-Habersham, Georgia
My husband and I were at Tim's show at Comedy Off Broadway when we started to bicker back and forth over our bar tab, suddenly we realize everything is quiet, we look up and Tim has stopped the show. He tells my husband to pay the bill, and to quit asking me for money. It was hilarious, a great memory that we still laugh about. Such a great man gone too soon. Thx to his family for sharing him with us, you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Lyn and Tony, this is a message from an old friend from Morningside Baptist David Henderson. I grew up with Tim and your family and remember playing baseball and football with Tim. He was a very gentle soul and used humor to bring us all together. I only wished I had seen him perform but watched his career and wished him well. The Henderson family sends you our prayers and best wishes to Tim's family and to you.
To Tim's Family: My thoughts and prayers of comfort to each of you as well as all of his fans. I'm not sure how many times I've traveled to see Tim's shows, but it was always worth the effort. I traveled a few months ago to see him at Side Splitters in Knoxville and had a great time. Was talking to Tim after the show and told him that one more of his shows and I'd be elevated from fan status to stalker. I'd been looking for a show to attend but unfortunately I won't get to make that trip. I will always be a fan. Thank you to each member of Tim's family for sharing him with us. He will be greatly missed. Uncle BS, where were you on February the 26th, 2014?
As a Canadian, I was unfamiliar with Tim's work until I met him and watched him do 2 shows on a comedy cruise in 2011. Very talented man and genuinely nice to everyone that wanted to talk to him the whole week at sea. He'll be greatly missed.
I got know Tim at The John Boy and Billy show . I will miss his friendship and comedy.
To the Wilson Family: I am so sorry for your loss. My family and I have enjoyed being entertained by Tim over the years. Now during your time of sorrow, may the God and Father of true peace and all tender mercy grant this family a calm and firm heart giving you everlasting comfort and hope.
It was with heavy heart when I found out about Tim's death. I've only seen him in person twice, but I shared his cd's with everyone I knew. Tim was in my life with laughter, when no one else was. You will be missed.
QUE TON AME REPOSE EN PAIX
What a beautiful legacy-- so many people loved Tim!!!!
I am a big fan of mr Wilson and coming from a small town in Indiana, just outside of evansville, which he always talked about, I can relate to a lot of his comedy and music! Thank you Tim for all the laughs and R.I.P. We love you Tim for who you were! And my prayers and love goes out to the family and many friends he had! God bless!
I had the great pleasure to work with Tim several times. I can't even express how fun that always was. I learned SO much from him and have nothing but admiration and respect for him. I probably tell more stories about Mr. Wilson more often than I do any other comic I've worked with. A buddy reminded me today that the first time he saw Tim I was there and said, "Tim never disappoints." He didn't.
like a fine wine Tim just kept getting better, the world lost a great man and friend to the world , you will be missed
Saw Tim Wilson live once and enjoyed his act immensely, but I mostly enjoy the hours of laughs listening to his CDs... Especially the tales of Uncle BS !!!

He never failed to make me laugh and make the day a little bit brighter. Loved to listen to him on the way to work. Always started my day off right.
We have seen Tim about 36 times but I quit counting after that. I told him he was our family therapist. Anytime we needed cheering up or a good laugh we would go see Tim and his act. We always left with our cheeks and bellies hurting from laughing. We always left with a hug and an autograph. He truly was a gifted man to bring so much laughter to the world. We will always remember you Tim. You were much loved by the Clark family!!!

Extending my deepest sympathies to Tim's family, friends, and fans. An extraordinary musician and writer, one of a kind voice recognized worldwide, Tim will be missed tremendously by all. Thankful I had the opportunity to see Tim on several occasions and met him at the Loft in November. Just like a snowflake, there will only be one Tim Wilson.. gone to soon.
Always looked forward to hearing you on Bob and Tom and enjoyed meeting you. Your wit, humor and knowledge is legendary and will be sorely missed.
He brought the gift of laughter to us all. He will join Lewis Grizzard as an icon of southern humor & will be missed by all of us.
RIP Tim. You were the funniest comedian. My wife and I saw you any chance we got. You were the voice of truth and humor and you brightened our days. May God bless you and keep you.
It truly breaks my heart to lose Tim so soon.
He should have at least another 20, maybe 30, years left to make us laugh and think.
I consider Tim the best friend I never met, an I've been listening to him every chance I could on "Bob & Tom" ever since his first visit on their show in April of 1995.
It's just too soon, and thing won't ever be quite the same without him.
Loved your comedy and your knowledge of many things. Will miss hearing you on Bob and Tom
He made every story an adventure

RIP Tim, we're going to miss you.
May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
For as long as I can remember, Tim made me laugh. We will all miss him.
My heart is heavy as if a family member passed away. So young and with so much to offer especially the opinions. To the family: May your sadness be lightened everytime you think about the laughs Tim gave to so many. He was quite unique. He became a part of the family as soon as he opened his mouth.
Thank you so much for making us all laugh and then in the next breath think. Saying you will be missed does not do justice for what your family and family of friends truly feel.
Enjoy the meeting of the minds up there. Let them know how you really feel Tim.
Like many of the other fans comments, Tim brought laughter to my life every time I had the chance to hear him. I don't really know if he ever realized just the incredible effect he had on people and how one of his numerous songs or comedic bits could really improve someone's day. I'd like to think that God brought him home early just so he could improve his day amidst all of the world problems. Rest in peace Tim.
The family is in my prayers. John 17:3

I looked forward to hearing him on the Bob and Tom Show. He was very enjoyable and most entertaining. That's where I first got to know Tim Wilson.
You could see how much Bob, Tom, Chick and Christie loved Tim. It was very evident - and he them.
He made a hugh impression on me and appeared to be their favorite guest. He certainly was my favorite guest on their show.

God Bless you in your time of sorrow.
With tears in my eyes as I write this, I'm deeply saddened by Tim's sudden passing. I was in such shock when I heard the news. I always looked forward to hear Tim on JB & B big show, & wanted to hear everything he said. For somebody I didn't him know personally, but I felt like I knew him, & saw him several times, & met & spoke with him a few times, super nice guy. I wanted so bad to come to the funeral, a 500 mile round trip, but circumstances wouldn't allow it. A wife has lost a great husband, his children have lost a great father, & we have lost one of the most brilliant comedians/story teller's ever. Condolences to his friends/family/fans....RIP Tim Wilson.
& as Tim like to say " the only man to beat Johnny Van Zant in Lynyrd Skynyrd trivia" I hope we meet again someday.
You were a brilliant and talented man Tim. You brought joy to many. You will be missed so much. Now you can have some of your bible questions answered in person :)

I remember seeing Tim at The Punchline in Atlanta back in 1999. As he got on stage, I yelled out "Hey, Homey!!!". He replied "Homey?!!!" For the rest of the night, I got what wss comin' to me. After the show I shook his hand and got an autographed CD (Gettin' My Mind Right), where he wrote "Homey, thanks for coming.". He was a great and funny guy and I was saddened to hear of his sudden death. RIP Tim, thanks for the laughs, and prayers for your family.
Absolutely the funniest man I have seen, or heard. Tim, you will be missed by many. God Bless and deepest condolences to the family.

When I found out Tim Wilson died on the Bob and Tom Show, I cried for the first time in many years. You could hear the sadness in Tom's, Chick, Christie's voice. I am also 52 and not in the best of health and this event has inspired me to take better care of myself. I have two children 13 and 8 and I want to see them grow up. RIP old friend, and thanks for making me laugh more times than I can count.

A great loss, he always made you forget your problems with his humor. He will be missed. May God Bless the family.
Tims brand of comedy immediately stuck with me. He was rustic, insightful, and had a way of disarming others with his songs and commentary. I was looking forward to seeing him grow better with the years. Seems he got called to the gig you can't refuse and they must be laughing their behinds off now.
I am terribly sorry for your loss. We all share your sorrow because Tim made everyone he met feel like a close friend. I was lucky enough to emcee some of his shows in Huntsville, Alabama. Even though I was a nobody on the comedy scene, Tim treated me as if I were a pro like him! May the choirs of angels come to greet him, and he can teach them some Acid Gospel!
Thoughts and prayers to the whole family. Tim was wonderful and funny man who made everyone feel important.

My deepest condolences on this terrible loss. For years,I have enjoyed Tim's hilarious songs and comedy on the Bob & Tom show. He made me laugh/lifted my spirits on some very dark days. That alone is an awesome gift - the ability to lift people out of depression and bring joy/laughter into their lives. We are poorer and sadder for his passing. God bless and help you through this incredibly difficult time.
For the light of happiness you brought to so many, I offer this candle. RIP Tim

How do you sum up a life like Tim's? He brought magic sarcasm to both serious and frivolous situations with a hint of sweetness. As plain old Tim, he was a kind-hearted person who was intelligent, well-spoken, and kind. Many will mourn him not only for his comedic talent but also his wonderful caring demeanor. I'm grateful I got to meet and hang out with the "real" Tim Wilson as well as enjoy his routines on many occasions. RIP, Tim.
Tim Wilson was so funny, so intelligent, and anyone who went to see him , bought his CD's, or listened to him on the radio (john Boy & Billy) will always carry a little of Tim with them forever. He is forever loved!

Tim Wilson... from Columbus Georgia... a staple in my life and the lives of all that knew you... Lynyrd Skynyrd's biggest fan... the O.G. of Kennedy humor... what a great friend.. you never forgot anyone... you stayed after every show for anyone that waited... There's a hole in the world tonight, my old friend.. I am more sorry than you will ever know for your children that you cherished with all your heart...for your sister, for those who loved you, even though they couldn't understand you.... If there is any good to it at all it's knowing that you play on in Heaven's grand jubilee.... "when they hear your sweet voice sing".. I remember the old days, the Don Williams tape that we warped going down the road and back, and "I can remember us cruisin' through town"... and that red Ford LTD... I know I'll see you again.. a finer person I haven't known, Wilson... you are missed, and you are loved ....
May the Wilson family be in God's hands and have peace. Thanks for the laughs Tim ! Our hearts are heavy but we will always feel lighter when we look back and have a good laugh.

The world has lost an amazing talent. I have listened to Tim for years on John Boy and Billy and feel like I knew him, even though we had never met. Met Tim in Louisville when I was an airborne traffic reporter for a rock radio station. During a report, he broke in on mic and said, "You mean all you do is fly around all day and look at cars? Hell, they PAY you for that???" Needless to say I was convulsed and we later met face to face and had a chuckle over it. A great guy and a gentle soul has left us.
Tim was a great man and wonderful comedian. He will be truly missed.
Tim brightened some many peoples days and lives with his comedy, we're sure going to miss you buddy, but we will never forget you. My heart felt thoughts and prayers are with his family and his MANY friends.
I saw Tim the last time he was in the BigShow Studio. He always gave me encouragement and even gave me advice on some of my own music parodies. "Made my own mayonnaise for the ham & cheese that comes along. Made my own mayonnaise for the salad dressing." (to the Paul McCartney tune of Maybe I'm amazed.) I'm sorry he is no longer with us. Prayers to his family. He was a great guy and I'll miss him.
Spencer R. Rackley IV

I've been a fan since hearing 'Clean Underwear' the first time. I always stopped what I was doing when Tim appeared on morning radio and listened. I was privileged to see him live in Huntington, WV. He bantered with the folks at my table for a good bit of the show and he even took some time to talk with us afterward. Tim was a class act and my wife and I are both terribly saddened to see him leave at such an early age. The world is a much poorer place today. Our sympathies to his family. We'll miss you, Tim.

I was bagging groceries at a piggly wiggly here in columbus about 2 1/2 years ago, it was a holiday weekend so we were busy. I heard a voice and thought "that's Tim Wilson", I looked up and there he was right next to me. Stunned all I could say was "you went to morningside elementary with my mom". He calmly said "really what was her name?" I told him and he remembered her. Right down to her brother and sister. All I had was a piece of receipt paper but he signed it for her and she still has it. He will be missed but even heaven needs a little comedy sometimes.
Our deepest sympathies to the entire Wilson family during this most difficult time. Please know, God is near to those that are broken at heart, and those crushed in spirit he saves.
I'm still finding it difficult to believe he's gone. My heart goes out to Deidre, Sophia, and Ari, and the rest of Tim's family as they deal with the unimaginable task of saying goodbye. I hope it will bring you all comfort to know how very much he was loved. I will miss my friend.

This is indeed sad. Have known the family for many years .
My wife and I got to see Tim very early in his career at a Comedy Club in Marrietta, GA. He was the funniest person I had ever seen. We got to meet and spend a few minutes with him after the show and was impressed with what a genuine and down to earth person he was. Tim was one of those people that you felt like you had known all your life.
We went to see him in Birmingham last year and he was as funny as ever. We had tickets to his first show in Birmingham tonight. I was so looking to Tim making me laugh.
A true one of a kind who was a genius at his craft.
To Dietre, Sophia and Ali, God hold you all tight and never let go. This is such a huge loss for all of us left behind, but God sure has one truly talented and amazing Angel in Heaven, making all the other Angels laugh...I love you, Tim Wilson. Mere words can not express how grateful and blessed I am to have known you for 10 years on this Earth, and for everything you brought to my life. Till we meet again, your friend forever, Veda
As a fan for many years, Tim made so many of us laugh. The memories of seeing him on stage, as well as having the privilege of interviewing him in the radio studio will forever be cherished. I have no doubt that he has the angels and God in tears with laughter, as well. Our prayers are with you all.
A true southern gentleman and comedian, R.I.P. Tim
Way too soon, but God must need some good humor in Heaven. Rest in Peace, Tim. Prayers to his family & freinds.
Now you get the front row seat my friend, RIP Tim Wilson. Thanks for AlLL the great comedy and wealth of wisdom you shared over the years,
His work has always been beneficial to me in educating people about the South. From Ricky Tidwell's Mama,Uncle BS, the recurring women who worked in gas stations, offices, and talked about how to cook, he provided a window into the humor of the South. Guess I will just have myself one fine huge Timathon to once again enjoy the greatness he bestowed on us all.
I am truly sorry for your loss. The family is in my prayers. John 17:3
I am a big fan who got after hearing him on the John Boy and Billy Big Show. His albums gave me lift during my two tours to the sandbox. R.I.P. Mr. Wilson.
Got there late for a show in the mid 90s in St. Louis. Only table was in the front row. He started in on me from the minute I sat down! He was hilarious, I couldn't speak I was laughing so hard!
Listened to Bob and Tom today and am headed home to play his CDs.
Very sad week, we will miss you Tim!
Dear Wilson Family, I fondly remember Tim from college days at PC (I was an English major). I've been to 4 or 5 shows and he's always the sharpest knife in the drawer. His passing has been a great shock to me so I know your pain must be heavy. He is one of the funniest men in America, ever. God Bless you all!
Mike Beaty, Little River, SC
PS: I have retold his jokes many times using his voice/delivery as best as I can imitate it.
I really wish this was just an Uncle B.S. Story. So Sorry for your personal loss - and we all lost a very funny comedian.

I saw Tim's show in Nashville in 2012 and talked with him afterwards. Not only funny, but one of the nicest guys I've ever met. His passing leaves a void for us in this world. I guess God wants to have a few laughs in heaven. Thanks for sharing your talent, Tim, and may peace be on your family and loved ones.
I was so impressed at how no matter how famous he was he always acted as tho you and your music was equally important. I took my audience from a gig I was playing to a Tues night late show and he came back to the club and picked with me. What a real pro he will be missed terribly. I have a sad heart.
Dear Wilson Family,
I saw Tim the first time in Huntsville, Alabama at the old Comedy Club. I have never laughed so much in my life. I will re-tell his Uncle BS stories for ever. His original style and Southern catch on life will never be matched. He will be missed.
Sincere condolences to the family. May you remember times of laughter and may they comfort you during the difficult days. 2Cor 1:4

With deep sympathy to the family of TIM WILSON. May the God of comfort be with you at this time of sadness.
I am so sorry to hear this news. Glad I got to meet Tim just a few months ago. I enjoyed his routine and political commentary, in fact I just started reading LBJ at his "suggestion." Condolences to his family and friends.
Be comforted in knowing that God is with you during this difficult time and that there are friends that also share your sorrow with you. I find Psalms 121 to be very comforting during these times.
just still amazes me that with the world being so messed up thatwhen someone like Tim Wilson comes around and makes u laugh, he has to leave so soon. what a great guy and prayers to all the comedians and bob n tom crew
Tim and I went to college together. Our paths would cross every few years and it was as if it was the early 80's again and Tim, my roommate Billy Johnson and I were the only sober ones in the trashiest frat house on campus and Tim singing spontaneous songs about the drunks. He was a kind gentle and wonderful soul. We didn't see each other often but his passing hits me hard. We have lost one of the good ones waaaaaay too soon. God bless. They are busting a gut in heaven right now listening to stories.
I met Tim after one of the Bob and Tom concerts. He walk up to my wife and I and said Hi I'm Tim Wilson. He always made me laugh. I lived hearing his stories He will be missed greatly
I am sorry for the loss of Tim Wilson. May the family find comfort in the words found at Jeremiah 29:11.

I hope you received your jetpack upon arrival. Thoughts & prayers.
RIP. you made us laugh. Thank you.
I've been a Tim Wilson fan since the mid 1990's. He was the smartest, most insightful comedian I've ever seen, in spite of his Redneck persona; he has so many great classic songs it's hard to pick a favorite. RIP Tim, you will be missed forever.
I am sorry for your loss. May your family find Comfort from Hod who is the God of all Comfort during this difficult time. Psalm 65:2
So many of my early memories include Mr. Wilson, Mrs. Wilson, Tony, Tim & Lynn. What a wonderful family & I am so saddened by Tim's death, he will be missed by so many. My thoughts & prayers are with Tony, Lynn & Tim's family, may God give you comfort & peace in the coming days!

Tim Wilson was a handsome, country comedian. Jokes and humor were hilarious. How sad he died at such a young age, and under such circumstances. Time of distress befall us all, and unfortunately, we can't stop the fact of loosing our loved ones in death but we can find comfort and strength in prayers. To Wilson's family: May the God of Love and Mercy grant the family the inner peace to deal with such situation. (James4:8)

TO THE FAMILY OF TIM WILSON. WE ARE SORRY TO HEAR OF THE LOSS OF YOUR LOVE ONE. MAY YOU FIND COMFORT MY DRAWING CLOSE TO GOD DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME PS 121:1-8
He was born and raised on Acid Country and made us all a fan of Uncle BS and want to join the congregation of The First Baptist Bar and Grille. He was a man of extraordinary ability on and off the stage. The world knows a great preformer was lost and his friends know an even better man has left us. RIP Tim. We spoke many times of heaven. Tim was a great friend. I grew up knowing him at Brookstone, and was my brother and my baby sitter for years. I had the pleasure of Tim visiting our house and talking to my mom, I also was able to accompany him backstage at The Columbus River Center to watch his show from the backstage. My family will truly Miss him, and what he meant to us. Jeff, Dan, and Ellen Bickerstaff
Glad to have seen your show in Appleton Wi., you had the place in stitches. After the show you stopped and chatted with our group of friends and gave us more laughs. Always loved it when you stopped to visit Bob, Tom, Kristi and Chick. R.I.P. Tim Wilson.
The first words I heard this morning were of the passing of Tim Wilson listening to Bob and Tom. Throughout the morning, and then reading so many tributes online, one understands the enormous intelligence, humor, and down to earth person that was Tim Wilson.
Kudo's as expressed by Chick McGree this morning, Tom gave just the right way to honor and express their love for Tim, their friend and family of the show. Chick's story of how Tim reached out to him when he understood that he was not in sync with him early in their times on the show, brought tears to my eyes. Heartfelt sympathy to 'Sweetie' as Kristi intimated on air and certainly to his children and family.
Columbia Georgia certainly DID produce the biggest entertainer of them all.
Bless you for your heart and soul Little Timmy Wilson
I just finished listening to "Acid Country" and the next thing I see is this obit.

Producer/Musician/Entertainer Author and Intellect.
Tim, you were the first person in Nashville to believe in me and my music. You believed, when no one else did. THANK YOU. You were more than my producer, you were my FRIEND. I am a better person to have known you and had you in my life. I learned so much from you. Blessed beyond words to say you wrote my entire first album. We wrote "Memories of Steel" together and it is the only song that made it onto my current album. You did everything in your power to get me a "record deal", but the true record deal was having you as my friend". You listed me in your Top 50 people in your life. You are in my Top 10. A wonderful husband, Father and friend. I love you and will never forget you...that would be impossible. I know your up in Heaven making everyone laugh. Funniest man I ever met. I always tried to catch up with him when he was in town for a show. It's been a couple of years since I've seen him, but we had a good visit then. I'll miss him. He was a funny guy when he was 6 years old and I guess it just stuck.
