I wanted to let the families of the Crew of the Columbia that I wish for them the blessings of God. When the Shuttle lifted off for the very first time, I was an engineering technician for TRW. The chief engineer brought in a colored tv for us to watch the launch as it was happening. I was so proud as an american, I watched in disbelief when it left us. I am still proud because all 7 members of the crew were fullfilling dreams and searching for answers to questions that would help all of us here on earth.
